JAI.jpgJAI Inc. has revealed two cameras for machine vision applications. Both the monochrome CV-A20CL and the color CV-A80CL use 2/3-in., 2.5-megapixel, high-definition CMOS imaging system-on-chip sensors from AltaSens to deliver progressive-scan 60 fps with 1920 × 1080-pixel resolution. The cameras feature a rolling shutter with fast data transfer to minimize motion artifacts, and the snapshot mode with strobe control output synchronizes an external strobe light to capture crisp images of moving objects. They offer 10-/8-bit selectable output through a Camera Link digital interface and have a built-in 12-bit A/D converter and timing controller.
