IDS Imaging’s new UI-3370CP camera features the latest revision of the CMOSIS 4.2-megapixel CMOS sensor. With its quadratic 1-in. sensor, 2048 × 2048-pixel resolution, global shutter and high frame rate, the camera is suited for applications in machine vision, microscopy and medical engineering.

The sensor’s pipelined global shutter allows the camera to achieve up to 75 fps, even in triggered mode. Up to 7000 fps are possible when using the sensor’s automatic optical inspection (AOI) mode with up to eight customized AOI or with the proprietary AOI Merge Mode. The high-dynamic-range mode allows two images with different exposure times to be combined into one image.

The camera offers resolutions from VGA to 5 megapixels in a compact, lightweight magnesium housing. With a C-mount lens mount, lockable USB 3.0 and Hirose connectors, a serial interface and optically decoupled trigger and flash, the camera can be easily integrated into industrial applications.
