TOKYO, July 16, 2015 — Toshiba T4KC3Designed for smartphones and tablets, the T4KC3 back-side illuminated CMOS image sensor from Toshiba Corp. is a 16-MP device that uses phase-detection auto focus to achieve quick focusing for high-quality mobile images and movies.

The T4KC3 incorporates Bright Mode technology, boosting image brightness up to four times and enabling HD video capture at 240 fps. High dynamic range is supported, while natural images are achieved with a high contrast ratio.

The sensor also incorporates 16-kb, one-time-programmable memory, which can store lens-shading correction data for indoor, outdoor, daylight and sunset conditions.
