The S13774 CMOS linear image sensor from Hamamatsu Corp. is designed for high-speed industrial imaging such as machine vision and inspection.

With a column-parallel readout system, the sensor is capable of high-speed readout up to 100,000 lines/s. The S13774 has 4096 pixels, each measuring 7 × 7 µm. Each pixel has its own readout amplifier and an analog-to-digital converter. This CMOS linear image sensor is sensitive to 400- to 1000-nm wavelengths with peak sensitivity at 700 nm. It operates off a 3.3-V power supply and outputs a video signal in 180 MHz LVDS format.

The converters can be set to 10- or 12-bit resolution, depending on the speed required. The sensors also feature a serial peripheral interface communication function.
