CARROLLTON, Texas, Sept. 15, 2016 — Verity Instruments Inc. has announced the SE1024GL-CMOS spectrometer, providing a cost-effective solution for general purpose applications.

Compared to the SD1024GL, the cost is reduced by the use of simpler packaging, LCD display removal, a reduced connector count and a sensor that requires simpler electronics. It also features a wider dynamic range, a 48 percent smaller footprint and a 200- to 800-nm range.

The SE1024GL-CMOS spectrometer uses the same CPU processor, embedded software and optical head as the SD1024G, with similar performance. It can be used with existing SpectraView software.
