PepperlFuchs.jpgVCS210 color sensors manufactured by Pepperl+Fuchs Inc. enable users to program, evaluate, process and display up to 255 colors. Packaged in a 3 × 1.5 × 1.5-in. housing, the sensors deliver response time of 100 μs. Selectable settings include seven evaluation methods, six color space modes and six output-trigger methods. Available in diffuse and through-beam modes, they are easily programmed via Windows-based software. They are suitable for use in packaging applications where many product types must be identified and diverted to different packaging lines, and in automotive applications where molded interior parts, carpeting or upholstery must be sorted by color.
