CO2 lenses in a variety of focal lengths and low-absorption coatings for 100-W and up engraving and marking lasers are available from Laser Research Optics, a division of Meller Optics Inc. The lenses are optimized for 10.6 µm and are available in 1/2- to 1 1/2-in.-diameter sizes, with focal lengths from 1 to 25 in., in 1/2-in. increments. They feature <0.2% total absorption values and maintain sharper cuts with fewer passes. The coatings keep the lenses cooler and prolong their lifetimes. Featuring 40-20 scratch-dig surface quality and < λ/40 wave sphericity at 10.6 µm, the lenses meet OEM and ISO-10110 specifications for optical elements. They are available for Camtech, Emission, Epilog, Ferba, GCC LaserPro, Gravograph, Jamieson, Kern, Pinnacle, LST Laser Systems, Synrad, Trotec, Universal and Vytek lasers.
