Laser Research Optics Inc. has announced a line of CO2 laser optics optimized for 10.6 μm that are in stock for etching, marking and thin-metal cutting lasers.
Designed to promote sharper cuts with fewer passes, the lenses feature coatings with <0.2 percent total absorption values to maintain low temperatures. The silicon turning mirrors have an enhanced DBMR coating to provide up to 99.6 percent reflectivity and are available off-the-shelf with 24-hour delivery.
Suited for OEMs or as field replacements for end-users, the CO2 optics meet ISO-10110 specifications for optical elements. The lenses are offered in 0.5- to 1.5-in. diameter sizes with focal lengths from 1- to 25-in. in 0.5-in. increments. The turning mirrors come in 0.75- to 3.0-in. diameter sizes from 2- to 10-mm thick.
