Cobolt AB has produced RTA periodically poled crystals for nonlinear frequency conversion applications. The RTA produces better transmission in the infrared range (0.35 to 5.3 µm) than KTP crystal, also produced by the company. Cobalt says the materials provide walk-off-free interactions, high nonlinearity and good power handling capability.
