EDISON, N.J., Oct. 24, 2012 — OSI Laser Diode Inc. has launched the CVLL series of eye-safe 1550-nm pulsed laser diodes. They feature low divergence and high brightness to deliver reliable and stable output power of up to 75 W from −40 to 85° C. Hermetically sealed and RoHS-compliant, they are suitable for military, industrial and commercial markets.

They are designed for rugged environments and extreme temperature tasks such as rangefinding, targeting, surveying, navigation and speed measurement. Typical peak wavelength is 1550 nm, with a minimum operating wavelength of 1530 nm and a maximum of 1580 nm. Spectral width is 15 nm, and full-width at half-maximum beam divergence is 10 × 24°.
