PROVIDENCE, R.I., April 14, 2017 — CaF<sub>2</sub> OpticsMeller CaF2 Optics from Meller Optics Inc. operate from the UV to IR range for use in spectroscopy, laser and front-surface protection applications.

The optics are manufactured to OEM specification as plano-convex, plano-concave and meniscus lenses; as plane, wedged and tapered windows; and as prisms in a wide variety of configurations. Featuring a highly polished surface for long life, the CaF2 optics operate over a 0.2- to 9-μm range with 90 to 95 percent transmission uncoated.

Offered in ¼- to 5-in. diameter sizes, the optics feature high transmittance from 150 to 9000 nm. The low absorption rate and high damage threshold make the optics effective for detectors, sensors and laser optics.
