HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., Dec. 10, 2014 — Three new 10-stop filters from Tiffen Co. attenuate far-red and IR wavelengths that commonly pollute long-exposure photographs and video.

The Apex filter is outfitted with a standard near-infrared blocker and a Tiffen Hot Mirror to remove the risk of IR signals compromising an image’s color.

An active IR-absorbing element gives photos taken with the Advantix filter an intense, slight greenish color cast that can be adjusted in the camera’s manual settings.

The Axent filter positively promotes IR wavelengths, allowing for different results depending on the camera sensor used, allowing stylized IR color effects when combined with lenses approved for IR photography.
