Scientists in the fields of cancer research, clinical research and pathology will benefit from Olympus America Inc.’s dedicated software module TissuemorphDP, which facilitates key aspects of working with quantitative cell analysis.

The image analysis software is designed for detection and/or classification of cell nuclei, cytoplasm and membrane. Thanks to the tool’s easy-to-use preset protocols, scientists can load their samples and run complex analyses with the touch of just a few keys.

Designed by Visiopharm, it allows users to control detection of cell structures through simple manual control of sensitivity (positive/negative nuclei and membrane) and/or size (positive/negative nuclei and cytoplasm). Users can customize thresholds for positivity for cell nuclei. Research findings are stored electronically as user-defined protocols that can be loaded and executed easily by any authorized operator.
