PhaseView.jpgPhaseView has introduced the BioPhase imaging device for in situ stain-free cell monitoring. It can simultaneously capture intensity and phase data at ultrahigh resolution, providing qualitative cell imaging and accurate quantitative measurements. Its camera is compatible with any optical microscope that has a video port and standard bright-field objectives. Fluorescence, confocal and total internal reflection fluorescence images can be acquired with the same objective. The system can perform time-lapse monitoring of three-dimensional cell morphology without contrast agents and related phototoxicity and without specialized optics for free-space manipulation. The cells can remain in situ in the growth medium using incubation flasks, petri dishes or multiwell plates.
