The LUXEON FlipChip White LED from Lumileds Holding BV is designed for chip-scale packages in the general illumination market.

Chip-scale technology eliminates the traditional submount to minimize package size, enabling manufacturers to directly attach the LED die to the printed circuit board and allow for overall system cost reductions. The technology is available in dimensions of 1.4 × 1.4 mm and 1.1 × 1.1 mm with a range of correlated color temperatures across color rendering indices of 70 and 80.

Optimized to delivery high efficacy, high current density and high lumen density, the LED is suited for applications such as outdoor and industrial lighting, including directional lamps and luminaires.
