ESPOO, Finland, March 7, 2023 — Coherent OpticsThe PSE-6s super-coherent photonic service engine from Nokia reduces power consumption for optical transport networks.

The engine supports the efficient delivery of high-speed services including 800-Gbit Ethernet over distances of 2000 km and beyond. A unique chip-to-chip interface enables deployment in pairs to power 2.4-Tb/s coherent transport solutions, allowing network operators to efficiently transport any combination of high-speed client services. CSTAR silicon photonics are integrated with 5-nm coherent digital signal processors. Operating at 130 Gbaud, the PSE-6s powers coherent transport at up to 1.2 Tb/s of capacity per wavelength.
