SiemensMedicalSolutions.jpgSiemens Medical Solutions has introduced a new version of the syngo Colonography PEV (polyp-enhanced viewing) tool for CT examinations. An automated second-reader tool for the visualization of lesions in the colon, the device helps radiologists detect polyp-shaped objects measuring 6 to 25 mm and now can be used both in clean-prepped and solid-liquid tagged protocols. This version extends the benefits of computer-assisted reading to a wider range of protocols applied in CT colonography, including stool tagging agents. The tool is integrated into the syngo Colonography application. It runs in parallel with the primary read, and the results are ready when that read is finished.
