The A1 series of compact beam expanders from Optical Surfaces Ltd. delivers ×30 magnification from 2-mm aperture high-power laser beam lines.

Delivering artifact-free high magnification, the expanders are particularly useful for high-energy applications with lasers operating within the femtosecond-pulse range. They incorporate off-axis mirrors with constant focal lengths, regardless of the wavelength of light being focused, and can be used with collimated polychromatic light without the need of any fine focus adjustment. Supplied housed in a robust aluminium cover, the expanders feature a provision for secure fixing to an optical table. Alignment aids ensure correct beam pointing and tracking during integration.
