VANCOUVER, Wash., March 31, 2017 — The alta series of compact, high-power fiber lasers from nLight Inc. are half the size of typical 2-W lasers.

The series allows for better use of shop floor space and simplified tool integration. A new resonator provides a unique combination of performance and stability at power levels from 1.5 to 2.5 kW. Novel back reflection isolation technology allows uninterrupted, full-power processing of highly reflective materials.

The lasers enable tool integrators and end users to manage maintenance and service, resulting in higher machine uptime and an improved end-user experience.
