MIDDLEFIELD, Conn., Dec. 3, 2012 — The Mini interferometer manufactured by Zygo Corp. is a production-ready phase-shifting system that measures the form and shape of spherical and flat optics in volume manufacturing, with a compact configuration suited to the factory floor.

Quantitative measurements eliminate the operator variability limits that exist with visual methods of interferogram interpretation. For ease of use, the Mini interface includes touch-screen operation, proximity sensor triggering, simple pass/fail reporting and other methods to reduce training and expertise requirements.

With SureScan technology for making measurements in a manufacturing environment, the interferometer operates without vibration isolation, reducing footprint and hardware overhead.
