REGENSBURG, Germany, Oct. 17, 2016 — Compact LEDsThe PointLED and Firefly E 1608 compact LEDs from Osram Opto Semiconductors GmbH are meant for mobile fitness applications.

PointLEDs in true green provide high signal performance and long battery life. The Firefly E 1608 in true green has similar performance and a smaller footprint than industry standard products. The Firefly E 1608 in hyper red has a special narrow-band wavelength range of approximately 660 nm, offering optimized signal recognition.

The Firefly E 1608 is suitable for measuring oxygen levels in blood, while the true green Point LEDs are ideal for use in pulse monitors. Both color versions of the Firefly offer compact dimensions for flexible product design.
