ANDOVER, Mass., June 29, 2023 — The Spectra-Physics® Vanguard One UV125 from MKS Instruments Inc. is a compact UV laser designed for bio-instrumentation applications.

The laser delivers >125 mW of UV power, operates air-cooled with low noise, and offers a long operating life and low cost of ownership. It is suitable for flow cytometry, microscopy, cell sorting, and semiconductor wafer inspection applications, combining electronics, laser cavity, and cooling in a single housing for easy integration. The laser's quasi-continuous-wave operation ensures a high fluorescence signal-to-noise ratio without damaging cells. It features closed-loop power control for stability and consistent measurement results.
