PointSource.jpgPoint Source Ltd. has launched a compact laser diode system for optical instrumentation in the biotechnology and semiconductor sectors. The iFlex Q3 has a small-form head measuring ~58 × 36 × 23 mm and a remote electronics module measuring 126 × 81 × 30 mm that are designed for easy integration. It has a diffraction-limited collimated output beam with active temperature control to ensure the stability of the wavelength to within ±5 nm. The module is available in 375- and 405-nm wavelength versions. Other wavelengths can be customized. All models feature an interlock and output diagnostics for laser current and temperature.
