Horiba Scientific has announced the ProtectionPlus module for its LabSpec 6 spectroscopy suite software.

The fully integrated module seamlessly adds security and data integrity controls that enable compliant use of the company's Raman microscopes within regulated laboratory environments. System security administrators are able to enforce a range of security, user and file policies, with operators of Raman instruments able to work in compliance with the FDA's code of regulations for electronic records and signatures.

User account management, access control, a full data audit trail, external event log and electronic signatures are featured.
