Confocal scanner
Becker & Hickl GmbHRequest Info
The DCS-120 confocal scanning system from Becker & Hickl GmbH converts a conventional inverted microscope into a fluorescence lifetime imaging system. The system is based on picosecond diode laser excitation, on scanning by galvanometer-driven mirrors, on confocal detection and on the company’s multidimensional time-correlated single-photon-counting imaging technique. The unit employs two multiplexed lasers, two parallel detection channels for various wavelengths or polarization, individually selectable pinholes and two parallel time-correlated single-photon channels, which enable images to be captured at high count rates and in short acquisition times. Various detectors are available. Applications include protein interaction experiments by FRET, and autofluorescence imaging of cells and tissues.
