Z-LASER.jpgZ-Laser Optoelektronik GmbH has unveiled the ZQ-200, a laser for biophotonics, biotechnology, microscopy and interferometry applications. Composed of three temperature-stabilized GaN-based laser diodes that are focused to a single point at a customer-defined distance, the device produces 200 mW of output power at 643 nm. Users can adjust the current and voltage and can shift the wavelength by adjusting the temperature in 0.05 °C increments with a connected controller box. Additional features include long-term wavelength stability of 0.2 nm, pointing stability at 30 μrad/°C and a mechanical shutter at the laser beam emission point.
