Del Mar Photonics Inc. has announced the Jibe White Light Continuum Generator for use with ultrafast lasers in applications such as femtosecond time-resolved spectroscopy, microscopy, optical pulse compression, optical coherence tomography, seed pulses for optical parametric amplifiers and broadband spectrum lidar. The generator is paired with an amplified Ti:sapphire system with a fraction of the incoming 800-nm pulse producing the white-light continuum. It is pumped with 0.3-mJ, 100-fs pulses at a 1-kHz repetition rate and generates about 10 μJ of white-light continuum. Spectral coverage is from 450 to 900 nm with a sapphire plate and from 350 to 750 nm with a CaF2 plate.
