HARPENDEN, UK, Sept. 24, 2008 – Elliot Scientific Ltd. has unveiled its range of cryogenic micromanipulated probe stations from Lake Shore Cryotronics.
The company’s portfolio includes table-top, superconducting and electromagnet-based, 4-in. wafer and closed cycle refrigerator based probe stations. According to the company, the products offer greater flexibility and expandability by providing in-field upgrade paths.
The table-top series features up to six micromanipulated probe arms that operate from 4.2 to 475 K. The series provides optical access through the sample stage, allowing for back illumination and facilitating optical transmission experiments.
The field-upgradeable series offers the features of the table-top, but also include a set of standard features. Those include radiation shields to minimize cryogen consumption, ± 5° sample stage rotation and condensation reduction for the device under test while the system cools. Other optional features include temperatures down to 1.5 K, high vacuum to 10-7 Torr and loadback that allows sample exchange under controlled environmental conditions.
Based on the field upgradeable series, the superconducting magnet series provides either a 2.5 T vertical or 1 T horizontal field and operate from 4.2 to 400 K.
Providing a 0.55 T horizontal field and operable from 5 to 400 K, the electromagnet series is, according to the company, the only electromagnet-based probe station available with optional 360° sample stage rotation.
