Kayex Intelligent Crystal Control System software from Linton Crystal Technologies has been updated to enhance automated melt gap management in the crystal growing process.
KICCS™ provides hardware and software process control for Czochralski process crystal growers. Melt gap control is provided in all growth states, with reproducible melt gap from crystal to crystal. Table-driven melt position ramps the melt gap from one position to another, and automatic calculation of CL/SL ratio is based on crucible and crystal geometries. The operator can now alter the melt-level calibration during a run to respond to changing conditions.
Applications include monocrystalline ingot production for the semiconductor, machined part, and solar industries.
