Nd:YAG crystal rods are available from Ekspla and are suitable for OEM and R&D applications. Made from the most popular material for solid-state lasers, the crystal rods are best for continuous-wave, high-energy Q-switched operation and single-mode operation at 1064 nm. Nd:YAG has a fluorescence lifetime twice as long as that of Nd:YVO4 with improved thermal conductivity. The crystal rods are available in diameters ranging from 3 to 12 mm and with lengths from 65 to 100 mm.
