Femto Messtechnik GmbH's DDPCA-300 and LCA-2-10T ultralow-noise current amplifiers are designed for sensitive current and charge measurements for use with optical components.
The DDPCA-300 has a switchable gain from 104 to 1013 V/A. The LCA-2-10T has a switchable high gain of 1012 and 1013 V/A. Both devices have a low-noise input minimum, allowing measurement of currents in the femtoampere to picoampere range. Subfemtosecond rise and settling times are featured for AC measurement.
The DDPCA-300 incudes adjustable voltage directly on amplifier input for device-under-test biasing, a DC-optimized design with high stability and very low drift, as well as manual control and a remote interface.
The devices can be used for the amplification of small currents close to DC generated by high-impedance sources such as photodiodes, photomultiplier tubes, and ionization and particle detectors. Typical applications include spectroscopy, photodiode amplification, sensitive ionization and charge detector amplification, conductive atomic force microscopy, characterization of metal oxide semiconductor and junction field-effect transistor structures, quantum and biotechnology experiments, and preamplification for oscilloscopes, analog-to-digital converters, and digital voltmeters.
