CHESHAM, England, Nov. 4, 2010 — Resolve Optics Ltd., responding to increased demand for custom short-wavelength infrared (SWIR) lenses from manufacturers of SWIR cameras and imaging systems, has developed SWIR lenses for OEM customers seeking to source no-compromise components for their cameras and imaging systems.

Operating from 0.9 to 1.7 µm, SWIR cameras offer capabilities complementary to traditional long- and mid-wavelength infrared and visible cameras. They are used widely in inspection, low light, night vision, fire detection through haze, smoke and fog, as well as military applications such as target recognition, airborne reconnaissance, remote sensing and surveillance.

Operating from its ISO9001-2008 approved facility, the company develops and supplies OEM quantities of custom lens and optical systems for small and large high technology businesses. It produces high-performance mounted lens systems equal in look, feel and quality to professional photographic and broadcast TV lenses.
