LIBERTY LAKE, Wash., April 1, 2015 — Quantum Northwest qChanger 6The new qChanger 6 from Quantum Northwest Inc. is a Peltier-driven, 6-position linear cuvette changer compatible with Agilent, Cary and Shimadzu spectrophotometers.

The device provides a range of stable temperatures. Stepping-motor-driven magnetic stirring provides uniform stirring in each cuvette from very slow to very fast rates. A screw drive mechanism provides precise positioning, and a dry-gas purge system permits use at low temperatures by eliminating condensation on cuvette windows.

The qChanger 6 is programmable using simple text commands through a USB connection. Commands permit sample changing, setting and reading temperatures, setting magnetic stirring rate, and temperature ramping.

Changers compatible with other spectrophotometers are available on request.
