Newport Corp. has announced the CYM-2R family
of cylindrical lens mounts for managing light. They can hold and position cylindrical
optics as large as 2 in. in height and, with the use of adapters, optics as small
as 1/4 in. They provide high-precision rotation of the power axis through 100 TPI adjustment
screws. They have a high-precision ±5° roll adjustment range with a sensitivity
of 6 arc sec. The mounts are post-mountable, with a hole that accepts 8-32 or M4
screws.
