MINNEAPOLIS, July 18, 2013 — Sick Inc.’s DBS36 and DBS50 incremental encoders were designed for speed feedback applications including packaging, printing, woodworking and textiles.

The 36- and 50-mm housings of the DBS36 and DBS50, respectively, provide a compact, low-profile design that is suitable for light-duty applications requiring 100 to 2500 pulses per revolution. A universal cable outlet, also made for tight spaces, enables flexible routing in either the axial or radial direction.

Their IP 65 enclosure rating allows the encoders to be used in dusty or humid environments; their operating temperature is between −20 and 85 °C, so they can be used both indoors and outdoors.
