Murata Power Solutions has announced the ICH series of industrial grade, isolated DC-DC converters, providing highly efficient, baseplate-cooled power from 360 to 500 W from an industry-standard half-brick package measuring 2.40 x 2.50 x 0.52 in.
The ICH series was designed for rough service or industrial applications, incorporating features such as a wide 4:1 input voltage range from 9 to 36 VDC and a specially designed baseplate that allows conduction cooling for improved thermal performance including closed-box applications. The converters, typically up to 95.7 percent efficiency for the 500-W unit, are available in three single-output models providing regulated 12, 24 or 28 VDC.
Typical applications include 12- or 24-V battery systems, powering motor drive systems, emergency vehicle electronics, smart grid and heavy-duty truck solutions.
