DEFORMABLE MIRROR
Boston Micromachines Corp.Request Info
Boston Micromachines Corp. has announced an enhanced version of its miniature deformable mirror for use by vision science and microscopy researchers in proof-of-concept experiments that require wavefront correction. It enables correction for larger wavefront aberrations, making it suitable for studying glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. It consists of a mirror membrane supported by an underlying actuator array. Each actuator can be individually deflected by electrostatic actuation to achieve the desired pattern of deformation without hysteresis. The mirror has 32 actuators, a 2.25-mm aperture and 6 μm of stroke. It is supplied with a USB controller, software and a gimbal mount.
