Developed by Brandenburg GmbH and available through Lambda Research Corp. are LucidShape 1.6 and LucidDrive 1.1, the new release of software for automotive illumination design. A ray history analysis tool that allows the user to backtrack glare and other problems in the beam patterns has been added to LucidShape 1.6, as have new LED and lighting applications. The software also has a CAD integration tool and provides increased ray-tracing speed. LucidDrive 1.1 is a night-driving simulation tool that supports analysis of vehicle headlights and illumination. New features include colored lights, new sceneries and scene elements.
