DIODE-PUMPED LASER Bright Solutions' Wedge laser, available from RPMC, emits up to 4 mJ at 1047 nm with a ¾1.5-ns pulse width, resulting in a peak power of 2.66 MW. Based on a proprietary electro-optical Q-switch, this compact, air-cooled, diode-pumped laser is insensitive to vibrations and harsh environments. The laser measures 0.2 cu ft and is suitable for specialty marking, lidar, spectroscopy, bathymetry, medical and micromachining applications. Available as options are second-, third- and fourth-harmonic versions at 532, 355 and 266 nm, respectively.
