Sacher Lasertechnik GmbH has released a Littrow-configured external-cavity diode laser suitable for optical Raman spectroscopy, optical cooling and trapping, and other applications requiring high output and low linewidth. The TEC-120-780-150 operates in the 780- to 795-nm range as well as at 1680 nm. It offers >140-mW output, >40-dB side-mode suppression and a coarse tuning range of >10 nm. The laser also provides >0.5-kHz frequency modulation at an amplitude of 10 GHz and long-term drift of 300 MHz.
