LIMO.jpgLissotschenko Mikrooptik (Limo) GmbH has released a 25-W fiber-coupled diode laser that emits a 10 × 10-mm beam with divergence of 2 × 2 mrad. The passively cooled Limo25-C10×10-DL980’s power is delivered via a 50-μm fiber core with a numerical aperture of 0.22. Spectral width is <10 nm FWHM, operating temperature is from 15 to 30 °C, typical threshold current is 3 A, and typical slope efficiency is 0.5 W/A. The compact and hermetically sealed laser head, measuring 162 × 56 × 36 mm, has been tested for harsh mechanical and thermal conditions. Applications include laser marking, micromaterials processing, pumping and microsurgery.
