EFD has announced the Ultra TT Automation series X-Y-Z dispensing systems, which combine precision dispensing and accurate positioning functions into one fully integrated tabletop unit. The company says that the systems apply accurate and consistent amounts of the epoxies, adhesives, sealants, solder pastes, UV-cure materials and other fluids used in photonic and fiber optic assembly processes, and that they eliminate rejects and fluid wastes. The 3- or 4-D motion control systems have closed-loop servo controls and are programmed with the Palm handheld device.
