Designed for mobile applications, the FireWire version of the LumiCam 1300 imaging photometer and colorimeter is equipped with a battery pack that makes independent operation possible for up to 6 h. Launched by Instrument Systems GmbH, the portable device has measuring accuracy of up to ±4% for luminance and ±0.003% for color coordinates. A separate laptop enables comprehensive evaluation of results in the field. Engineers can qualify the visual appearance of displays, display systems or panel graphics on site with the system, which incorporates a CCD sensor with 1.3 million pixels.
