Texas Instruments Inc., DLP ProductsRequest Info
DALLAS, March 11, 2014 — Texas Instruments has released the DLP4500NIR digital light processor for transmittance and reflectance spectroscopy applications in the food, pharmaceutical, and oil and gas industries.
The device is optimized for use with near-IR light in the 700- to 2500-nm range. It features about 1 million digitally programmable micromirrors, allowing users to refine spectral resolution and wavelength ranges, adjust integration time and equalize light throughput. Signal-to-noise ratio is >30,000:1 over a set measurement period, and the device can be programmed to select and attenuate multiple wavelengths at speeds up to 4 kHz.
Besides spectroscopy, the device is suitable for applications in single-pixel cameras, laser marking and microscopy.
