Texas InstrumentsTexas Instruments Inc. offers a 0.67-in. 4K ultrahigh-definition (UHD) digital light processing (DLP) chip for home theater, business and education projection displays.

The chip features advanced image processing and a digital micromirror device with 4 million mirrors to deliver >8 million pixels to the screen. Each mirror is capable of switching >9,000 times per second, creating two distinct and unique pixels on the screen during every frame for full 4K UHD resolution. The inherent one-chip DLP system alignment maintains the color integrity of content without blurriness between colors.

It can be used with multiple light sources, including lamps, LEDs and laser phosphor, giving manufacturers the flexibility to create projectors for a variety of applications.
