MELVILLE, N.Y., Dec. 23, 2015 — Canon U.S.A. has expanded its LX series of high-brightness digital light processing projectors with two 5000-lm models, the LX-MU500 and LX-MW500.

The devices feature a high contrast ratio to ensure image display of deep blacks with depth and dimension. Advanced optical functions include the wide throw ratios of each model, manual vertical lens shift and corner adjustment. A range of image quality adjustments include the BrilliantColor system which uses color processing algorithms and six-axis color adjustment.

A built-in HDBaseT receiver and two HDMI inputs are included, one of which is equipped with mobile high-definition link for mobile audio and video interfaces.

For the medical education and training fields, both models include a Dicom simulation mode for displaying monochrome digital x-rays, CAT scans and MRIs.
