The Rumba 05-01 is a continuous-wave single-frequency diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) laser operating at 1064 nm. Released by Cobolt AB, it delivers 2-W continuous-wave output power and a TEM00 beam with M2 <1.1. Suitable for high-resolution Raman spectroscopy, interferometry and optical tweezer experiments, the laser is built into a hermetically sealed package measuring 115 x 70 x 45 mm. It uses proprietary HTCure technology for robustness and long lifetime. The single-mode device produces noise of <0.1% rms and a narrow spectral linewidth of <1 MHz. It is supplied with a compact CDRH (Center for Devices and Radiological Health)-compliant or OEM controller that can be accessed remotely for operating and monitoring the laser system via a digital USB or an analog interface.
