Phase One has announced the iXR, a fully integrated medium-format dedicated digital reproduction camera system.

Designed for high-quality digitization, including fine-art-reproduction and diverse industrial applications, it meets the exacting needs of the reproduction photographer, streamlining work flow by enabling full control of the process. Using it with proprietary Capture One work flow software, photographers can move from live view to capture with the click of a mouse. The industrial design eliminates the mirror and viewfinder, reducing moving parts and vibration, and its tough aircraft-grade aluminum alloy camera body enables performance under demanding conditions.

The iXR camera system is available in 80-, 60- and 40-megapixel configurations as well as in a stand-alone camera body.

Power input is from 12 to 30 VDC, and maximum power consumption is 20 W. The camera measures 128 × 147 × 62 mm and weighs 1.6 kg. It is FCC (Class A)-, CE- and RoHS-compliant. Operating temperature ranges from −10 to 40 °C, and the system runs on Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.6 or later.

Applications also include machine vision and aerial photogrammetry.
