Boston Micromachines Corp. has launched an enhanced version of its Mini-DM featuring increased stroke. The deformable mirror is designed for vision science and microscopy research that requires wavefront correction. It features a 2.25-mm aperture and 6 μm of stroke. The active mirror area is deformed by 32 electrostatic actuators and has a fully integrated controller. It comes with software, a USB controller and a gimbal mount for easy installation. Research applications include glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration.
