Axiom Analytical Inc. has announced the 23-mm DMD-373 diamond attenuated total reflectance (ATR) probe, suitable for a range of laboratory and online process analysis applications.

The mid-infrared (MIR) transmission of the probe exceeds 10 percent, providing high performance when used with Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometers employing room-temperature IR detectors. It features a diamond ATR element, Hastelloy C-276 construction and energized polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) seals, allowing function over a range of temperatures and pressures with highly aggressive chemical systems such as strong acids and bases.

Applications include MIR chemical process analysis.
